These terms explain how this community website and its submission forms work.
An independent community
Bulawayo Tech Commons brings people together to build tools and collect useful data for Bulawayo. We are not the municipal government. Use of the city emblem does not imply government sponsorship or approval.
Use the site respectfully
Don’t submit abusive, misleading, unlawful, or spam content. Don’t impersonate someone, interfere with the service, or upload files you do not have the right to share. Only submit personal information you are entitled to provide.
Membership and ideas
An application is an expression of interest, not a promise of membership, work, payment, or a particular role. An idea submission is an invitation for the team to review and discuss it; we do not promise to build or fund it.
You keep ownership of material you submit. You allow the team to store and review it and contact you for the purpose stated on the form. Submission alone does not transfer intellectual property or give us permission to publish your idea under your name. Please don’t submit confidential material.
Open-source projects
Each project’s published licence determines how its code, data, and assets can be used. A project description on this site is not a licence. Photographs, contributor work, and third-party services may have their own terms. Obtain the appropriate permission before collecting or uploading imagery.
Contributor recognition
Contributor pages recognise people involved in the community. A listing does not imply employment, a certification, or a ranking. We do not currently publish scores or leaderboards.
Use the request form to correct a profile or attribution, or ask for removal.
Availability and accuracy
Projects may be unfinished or unavailable, and information may contain mistakes. Check important information with its original source. This website is not an emergency service or a substitute for official municipal records.
We may update the website and these terms as the community develops. We’ll show the latest revision date here. Nothing in these terms removes rights that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
